Default 1977 electrical problem
power windows only work when car is running. What could cause this?

When i disconnect the connectors from relay #3989214 my power wndows go back to normal. What the heck!!

They won't work with the ignition switch simply "ON"? The engine has to be running?

Yes. Unless i remove the 3 pin ac/blower relay connector.
