I need some expert advice !! My 1969 roadster stalled out on me after about 60 miles of driving on 1/2 tank of a different brand of gas and a different brand of octane booster. After it stalled, I could not get it started! About three hours later, I tried again and got one heck of a backfire!! Today (about 12 hours later) I got it started and it idled for about 5 minutes before dying. I've checked all the vacuum hoses and they all look good. Can someone help me try and pinpoint this problem? I hate to have it towed in for something that may be a simple fix.
Well, if you didn't get a tankfull of water  instead of gas, I would bet on your electronic ign module has gone south. These darn things will make the timing change, go completly off, or any number of things.
It backfired through the exhaust ! Just had the engine dyno-tuned about 1000 miles ago.. Thanks for your help ! If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know ! :seeya
