Default Need help picking fuel pump

Hi - Finally drove my car yesterday for the first time in ~5 years. Woke up today to a significant fuel pump leak, so I guess I need to replace it. I need help picking the right one.

My car is a 1970 350/350. Previous owner put a Holley carb on it. The current fuel pump appears to only have 2 lines (gas in from the tank and gas out to the carb). There is another line (that I believe is a fuel return line) that is right next to the fuel supply line, but it is plugged and not used.

In looking for a new fuel pump, it appears there are two choices. One for Holley carbs (only 2 lines) and one for Qjet carbs (3 lines, presuming one is for fuel return)?

I hope to put the original Qjet carb back on the car in a year or so. Can I/should I buy the 3-line fuel pump and use it with the holley carb? Can I just connect that fuel return line that is currently plugged? Or will that cause issues with the carb for some reason? Or am I forced to buy the 2-line pump to use with the Holley carb this summer, and then if/when I go back to the Qjet, I need to change the fuel pump to the 3-line version?

Any help/suggestion would be appreciated!

If your car has a return line and you are buying a new pump I would just get the proper three line pump. It keeps the fuel temp down by circulating it and you can use it on either your Quadrajet or Holly. The return line is there for a reason and either pump is pretty cheap.

Both stock pumps I had put out about 9psi on the high end and with a holley you should regulate it down to like 5psi for street. You can change to aftermarket fuel pump and use a return style regulator, but I'd only do that if you need the GPH.
