Is anyone running carter electric fuel pump and if so how do they preform I order p4600hp 100gph 6-8psi to run behind a 454 with no regulator or return line. I was told if i run a return regulator it will last longer and I was also told it would lose psi. what kind of psi do you have? I think i should have just have just went with the 15-19psi version and ran a return regulator.

To really run a good quality fuel system, you need a regulator/return. The regulator cuts the pressure at the point it is set for and returns the "extra" fuel to the tank. If you have a pump that puts out 100 gal per hour, and you are using 5 gal per hour - guess what happens. The pump is basically deadheaded and heats the fuel. The hot fuel is not good for the pump or your engine.
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
No need to go with electric fuel pump, I have been using the same Carter Street Super Fuel Pump for many years on 400 - 600+hp engines in my Corvette. They flow 120gph and good for 600HP @ 7000 RPM
73 corvette I went ahead and order p4601hp pump 9-15psi 100gph and holley bypass regulator. I read a few people could only get 5psi from the 4600 pump and i didnt want to under fuel the holley.
i did order a cheap summit fuel filter. i have holley inline filter and cheap clear filter to see that its getting fuel. I was thinking put the summit filter first, pump, holley filter and then the regulator. Im thinking i might ditch the clear filter.
I also order a vod fuel gauge that is not fluid filled.
The Carter fuel pump was on the car when I bought it, originally I was going to replace it with a stock setup, but the system is trouble free and the car starts instantly, even after setting for 6 months in storage, so now I've decided why mess with a good thing. The electric fuel pump is staying.
FWIW: when you turn the key to the ON position you hear a mild hum, once the engine fires the sound is no longer noticeable. I only mention this because some don't like the hum of an electric fuel pump. Personally I find it comforting in that I know the engine is getting fuel.
