I used the entire LS1 ( from a 2004 ) pedal assembly on my 1977, I made a template out of cardboard and fabricated an adapter that I bolted to the firewall and then bolted the LS pedal to that.
Also, I found that the original pedal ( the plastic that you push on ) from my 1977 pedal assembly fit perfectly on the LS assembly spring and all.
So I'm flooring it with the original pedal I was flooring it with -
I fabbed up an aluminum mount. Used the stock holes in the firewall
I saw that on you build but your pedal is different than the one I have. With the firewall the way it is the angle is wrong and I will need to kick the bottom out.
