Sound

I have a 1980 vette that I recently purchased, it has true dual with borla exhaust, shorty headers and a 466/466 cam. It has a deep, loud sound to it but not much depth. Was wondering what I could do besides side pipes to add more to the sound. I would like more tone, not just loudness

what size are the exhaust pipes coming from the engine?
do you have an x-pipe?
does Borla have other mufflers?

I have 2 1/2 pipes, no x-pipe, they come straight back from the headers. Not sure what series the borla' safe or what others they have. I was just wondering if flowmasters would sound better. I used to own a 96 z28 and had flows on it and it had a lot of tone to it

since you were happy with the flowmasters that would probably be your best bet
