350 trans on 76 coupe

just picked up a 76 with 40,000 miles and dumped the trans fluid. How much should I add if I did the trans and filter change. waiting for a manual but just got the car last week. also doing all the calipers and the rusted on brake lines and the rubber lines while I'm there. the car has been sitting in a garage since 1985 so going thru alot of maintence items. anything else i should look for, just drained all the gas lubed all the bushing and stablizers (will replace soon)

Four quarts should get you close.

thanks I did not want to overfill

should have a manual this week just have to go to the offie to print

also going to flush the coolant with all the choices which would you guys recommend for a 76

I add about 3 1/2 qts., get it to operating temp and then top if off as necessary.
