Another Head question...
I have a set of 882's in the garage. How much would it cost to have them gone over and ported? I know the vortecs are a good deal, but my cam has too much lift for the stock springs and I don't want to have to buy a new intake and valve covers. Is anyone out there running 882's with a setup similar to mine? If so what kind of quarter mile times are you running.
BTW- I plan to up my compression to about 9.5:1 when I do the swap.

If you want to change to 2.02 and 1.60 valves, have the heads ported and bowls reworked, drilled and tapped for screw in rocker studs, fitted for guide plates and the spring seats enlarged for 1.45 valve springs it will cost you in the area of 100 to 150 more than the cost of a set of Sportsman II's and won't work as well.
