Finaly got a chance to do my cam swap, good thing I did because the factory cam was going round.Put in the 270h comp cam with the full expectation that it was not going to work with the CFI.Well I am suprised to say at least in my case the CFI is playing quite nice, idles with a steady chop, only a slight idle surge going into reverse but drive is fine. The computer re set the iac's after a 20 minute drive.Still need to do final timing set my light crapped out so its set by ear.Any one else go any larger in cam with the CFI. 280h or around there? now its time to do my manual trans swap because the 700 automatic is now slipping under a hard take off in 1st and 2nd. I guess the few extra ponies are too much for it! Any how I will keep you posted as to its driveability as soon as I get some quieter inserts for the side pipes, its now got a mean bark all the time no coasting past the law any more! I took a bunch of pics doing the job just need the brain to get them loaded to photobucket for me.One more thing what is the ranking for the hooker side pipe inserts quietes to loudest?? The ones I have are like 2 1/2"straight through with I think tiny perforations no baffles or chanels can see right out the ends. Thanks , Jim.
I'm really surprised your ECM is dealing with that large of a cam. (large for the CFI) I have a 260 and I'm at the edge with slight surging. Do you have a video? I'd like to hear it.
