I am looking for some help here for some cool valve covers for my 454 . Now i hear all the people saying easy , Edelbrock and the like but here is the curve ball .
Whilst i am on the journey of a body off retoration and the big rust issues , i am also rebuilding the heart of the old girl and have opted to give her a little more in the oompf department . Not too much just some procomp heads and a new cam from Chris at STRAUB( awesome service incidentally) Now i need to know if there were ever any M/T tall valve covers made that i can fit to the heads ? I know that i will most likely have to manufacture an adaptor to bolt onto the Procomp heads that the M/T'S can then be fitted to but i dont think that would be a real problem engineering wise . I have a set of M/T's on my small block 350 and like the way they look , so wanted the same to go on my 454 .
Otherwise guys chime in with the type of covers you think would look good on the big block . I am also partial to the black finned type valve covers that are abundant for the 350's . Why cant you ever seem to find the same nice stuff for the 454's

Their covers are more substantial than your typical aluminum covers and they come in a lot of different finishes from powder coated to polished. They are not inexpensive, but the quality is excellent.

That's one very nice looking motor , I hope mine comes out as nice . Good looking covers as well , now my choices are getting swayed from my original thoughts
