Default 1980 Horn Reassembly

I have all the bits and pieces for my 1980 horn contact reassembly. Most of it was gone when I bought the car so I have to rely on diagrams. I have figured out that the ground post, goes in spring, then big end of the post and then rotate the black holder in the sleeve to keep it in place. However, I don't know what to do with the protruding contact on the back of the upper unit. It does not squarely push against the ground post and it doesn't seem "springy." I fully understand the electrical part but the Rube Goldberg mechanics are stumping me.

Any help is appreciated.

Grasshopper understands now. The spring is flat inside the upper contact. I couldn't feel it until I did a partial assembly.
