400 Turbo

Can a 400 turbo transmission fit under a 1979 corvette, or would u have to change the mounts? I hurd that they came with a 340 turbo. Any help would be greatly appreciate. :yesnod:

you said 340 turbo..did you mean350? anyway..the two trannys should fit where the other one was provided the correct measures are taken

different driveshaft yoke
different overall length
different bellhousing to rear mount length
different kick down set up
thats about it...i think

If yur gonna switch from a th350...you might wanna consider a 200R4 or a 700R4. Lower 1st + overdrive to boot. Move it outa the past and more to the future. Change the car for the better.
