Default vacuum question

Hey guys,
I have a 1972 cope with a small block. Headlights were functioning fine but wiper door would pop up on start up. Found wiper arm vacuum valve to be bad. Ordered a working one from Willcox and still would pop up on start up and lights worked normal. Tonight I took the tach selonoid off and blew it out. Now on start up my lights and wiper door open then shut. Using the search function it seems that the system is bleeding out. My question is. When I shut the car off. About 30 seconds or so. I hear slight hissing then a loud release of air. Is this normal. I have checked all the actuators and they hold vacuum where need be. My check valve only blows air one way. Any experience or advice would be great.

Default vacuum question

You have a vacuum leak. The hissing is not normal, but if you can hear it leak than it should be easier to find. If you were messing under the dash check the lines going to the over ride switches as they are easy to knock loose.
