anyone else have a stance problem with the rear of their C3. its a 79.i have looked all under it and nothing looks broken or bent it sits like this no matter where its parked.
We need a view from the underside of the rear end to know more. And how does the front end look?
I hope the tips of your side exhaust extends out at least 2" past the tires or the hot exhaust will destroy your tires pretty quickly at freeway speeds; something owners often fail to realize until a tire blows.
I had the same issue...sitting in my driveway it looks like the drivers side is lower. I measured and found that the driver's side is sitting a half inch lower. If I remember correctly the passenger's side was at 28 and the driver's side was 27.5. I had a friend measure with me sitting in the car and it was even lower (as expected). I raised the driver's side up to 28.25 using the bolts on the end of the leaf spring. The .25 is not as noticeable but the car sits level with me in it. The front is sitting at 26.

Over time a 200 pound driver WILL cause the springs to lose tension so its common for the left side springs to get weaker. I'd still like to see a good picture of the underside of the rear to see if I can spot anything unusual. I have seen these C3's sitting crooked but never THAT crooked.
A picture of the rear suspension would help us diagnose and possibly see a problem. Taking off the rear tire compartment will help get a better shot of all the components for us.
1)How old are the shocks?
2)Has the rear spring been replaced and has there been work done recently?
the front sits good. all the bushings are dry looking and smashed.but they look the same on both sides.it sat on jack stands for a few years with the suspension hanging free. ill see if i can get the spare tire holder off tomorrow and get a better picture under it.

no, the tire sticks out about 1.5" more then the exhaust
The front should not be level when the rear is so crooked. Find the most level surface you can and measure from the ground to a point on the frame on all 4 corners. Check the frame because the body may be drooping on the mounts. Less likely would be the frame being twisted if you find that the front rails are level and the rear rails are crooked.
I had a different car that looked unlevel from the back yet looked level in the front. In reality, it was high in the right rear and low in the left front. I changed the front springs which leveled it out fairly well. It took only a little lifting on the left front to really bring the right rear down. You could try lifting the left front a little to see if it levels out the rear any.
well found the problemS... the bushings are worn more on the left then the right and the leaf spring is 3/4" longer on the right then the left. i think the car was hit in the right rear wheel, because there was a broken spindle shaft in the back when i got the car
