I have a 30 year old 1979 350 CI engine. The cam specs were not provided at the time it was built. I was told "it's a 350 HP, Corvette cam". Where could I get more in formation about the cam specs. I'm trying to buy a stall converter for this engine/trans combo. Thanks in advance.
What kind of vacuum are you pulling at 800 rpm? What can you idle down to in gear? That would give us an idea of the cam specs.
FWIW I installed a 2200 stall converter on my stock L-48 and it worked great. It actually stalled at 2400 instead of the advertised 2200 but worked well in any case.
Also good mod is a shift kit. Makes the shifts a lot faster and firmer.
