Default Intake and carb upgrade

How much performance should I see going from an Edelbrock performer (non rpm) and a holley 750 vacuum secondaries to a edelbrock scorpion intake and a holley 750 double pumper. I have them lying around just need to rebuild the holley wondering if it'd be worth it to swap the carb and intake

current engine specs

SBC 400 bored over to a 406
291 heads with screw in studs and 1.6 rockers
Crane cam .449/.449 lift with .222 duration
Dished pistons
Hedman headers
Edelbrock performer intake manifold
Holley 750 vacuum secondaries carb

I'd bet you would lose a lot of the low end torque that you want from a street manifold and carburetor and the 750 mechanical secondary Holley is a track racing carburetor that was never intended for street use. I'd stay with your present manifold and carburetor because they're a better match for your engine.

The heads are holding you back more than anything..along with the cam. 406" could use some airflow.

The 750DP can work excellent on the street...but depending on what you've got for gears, trans, converter(?) what you have might not be hurting much based on what's between the pistons and the air filter. You've got a lot of restriction with those heads/intake/cam.

Yeah I figured the car originally came with 461X heads when I bought it I heard they're worth a pretty penny so I might sell them and buy some AFR heads or something. Also the cam I'm looking at (going roller is expensive) so I found a mechanical flat tappet comp cam im possibly picking up 306 duration with .550/.550 lift
So .582 lift respectively with 1.6 rockers

Tell us more about the whole combo and what your plans are for it. What pistons? Cast or forged? Stock rods or aftermarket? Crank?

Some real heads will wake it up...but cam choice needs to come after heads are picked.
