Help with setting dwell on dual points

Large gap = small dwell

Small gap= large dwell.

Who made your distributor?
They can tell you what the dwell is.

Dwell angle is the time the points are closed.
The single point time makes 30* of dwell, with two sets of points the dwell time will be higher.

Dual points are pretty much all the same.

6 cyl and 4 cyl has more dwell, but also more time to cool the coil.

Some HP coils can take more, but you have to check with them.

I alwaysed used a Playing Card for Gap bth Points. Worked well and a Matchbook to blook off Point not setting. But that was at least 40 yrs. ago

Old Accel 371000 A. I believe Big2Bird is correct. I should have set them each around 26, but for some reason I was thinking it was 29.

Don't forget to reset the initial timing after changing the dwell.
