New Steering Box: New or Rebuild?
I have a 1973 coupe matching numbers and need a new steering box. After replacing the steering coupler, inner & outer tie rods, all the bushings, springs, shocks, etc, etc there is still some sloppiness in my wheel.
My question is the steering box important to keep and rebuild it if my car is matching numbers or should I just buy a new one?
When I say matching numbers I am referring not only to the engine and tranny but also the carb, heads, intake, starter, etc.

Those boxes are really easy to rebuild. I did one on the side of the road one time when the bearing went out. I was surprised when the dealer had the bearing in stock.
On my '72 I'm going Borgeson. I would always returned to OE if desired.

Yes, they are. But you need a dial type inch pound torque wrench to set them to spec, and get the most benefit/life out of them.
