Whatever you get, please get the right backspacing. 4" on an 8" wide rim, 5" on 9.5" etc. I see a lot of 4.5" backspaced wheels and it looks too sunken into the wheel well.
And like jb78L-82 says, here is a pic of the real reason you should get the bigger rims. Badass street tires!
Silvertone- I've been running Bridgestone RE- series and PP -series tires for over 20 years. Best bang for the buck on street tires. My current 68 vert came with Kumho (I think that is Korean for Puke) tires which I will probably wear out in 5K miles and then put on BS PP. RA
Here is a pic of my ride...let me know thoughts!!!
Factor- Here's what the Torque Thrust II look like on a red convert (Dealer's photo). 18 x 8 on front and 20 x 10 on back. One inch spacers used on front and back to get correct offset so no rubbing. Back allows 295/40R-20 tires. 245/40R-18 tires on front. Lotsa rubber on road, only problem is car came with el cheepo Kumho tires, so I have to wear them out and then put on decent BS tires. RA
ronarndt! super sharp! that wheel looks pretty tall in the back...how tall is it?
AND the BOSS has national backorder of 2-3 months...murphys law...
Thanks all!

Factor- I replaced the back tires, which were worn out, with 255/35/ZR-20 Kumhos. Tire diameter is 25 3/4 inches from ground to top of tire with weight on the tire. I really did not want to put those monster 295/40-20 back on, since I saw one place where there was a rub mark on the inner fender, even with one inch spacers. Previous owner picked the wheels and tires- not sure I would have gone so large on the back, since it affects the car's stance. Plus, the Kumho tires are crap, but the front ones were new, so I put matching ones on the back. Should be easy to wear them out so I can put decent tires back on.
