Default Parking brake spring ?

Does this spring look like it came from an emergency brake? Found it on the garage floor. Its from the car, has blue over spray on it. Have a rebuild kit on order.

Looks like half of the cable spring. Most rebuild kits will not have that spring. It keeps tension on the cable going to the brake handle inside the car.

It doesn't really look like a p-brake spring, the end isn't what I'm used to seeing at least
Well, unless the OEM spring ends are different that the stainless replacements ??????

I'm still trying to think of what other springs are outside...

That might be a very good call, the two outside springs are just about that size

sug and Mooser you are correct it is from the headlight, drivers side inbord spring.

Have ordered a full set of springs for the car.

How the question is, is easier to replace the springs with the lights up or down? Any input welcome

Sug all the way on that one.

Tension wise it doesn't really matter but you probably have better access when they are down.

I was going to say watch for the sensor switch (headlight warning) there in the middle but it looks like it's already in half

What headlights are in your car. They do not look round like stock. Are they rectangular???

Yes they are the rectangular ones, put them in about 35 years ago. Hard to come by the kits now tho.

Yes, i need to clean it up somewhat by the lights, in the 2 minutes i was there looking at the springs i probably saw 5 things that needed some attention.
