Default 68 parking light bracket

I've searched and haven't been able to find an answer. Does anyone have a picture of how the front parking light bracket is mounted on a 68? The AIM doesn't show it and I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

The front parking light in 68 is attached only to the front grill. There is an upper and lower bracket that hold the grill in place, which one or both are you interested in? Attached is a picture of that area.

The headlight buckets I installed are from a 69 and I have the brackets in the picture below. I figured out how they attach, but I may not use them if I don't need to.

The brackets you show are for 1969. They will work. The 2 piece 68 brackets attach in the same spots as the 69. The lower bracket is riveted to the body in 68 rather than bolted as in 69.

That's what I thought too. I'll probably buy the 68 brackets just to keep it as close to original as possible. Thanks guys.

Members advised me to get the '69 brackets since they are sturdier...and my car is not original....I had to tweak/bend the angle slightly so they would fit better.

Doesn't that eliminate the need for the bottom bolt on the grill piece? I can make them work, but they'll need to be tweaked a little to fit correctly. Thanks DG.

Take another look. UPC 11-13 Sheet A4 for the center; Sheet A5 for the left side. Right side is not shown because it installs the same as the left, only opposite.

FWIW: 68 parking lights have no brackets; they mount in the grilles. The AIM shows the grille mounting brackets.

My 68 AIM wouldn't have the brackets that I have. That's where I got confused. Not knowing they were for a 69. I think I can make them work though as they do look sturdier than just using the plastic grille. Thanks Mike.
