Default It's raining on my ankles!

So the wife's car is broke down, she took my jeep and I'm forced to drive the Vette to work for a couple of days :D :D :D

Today its raining and when I went out to lunch, a little water rolled out from under the dash and got my ankles wet. The passanger side is wet too.

Of course I can just sit in the car and try to see where the water is from but I'm sure many of you have had the same thing happen. What is the most likely cause?

Thanks!

The scariest possibility (and unfortunately I think the likeliest) is rust-through on the windsheild pillar support.

had this same problem.almost %100 sure that replacing the weatherstriping on your pillar posts should fix it.ecklers sells the kit for about $210.

There is a plastic to metal seam in the wiper tray. See if it comes apart slightly. Get some GM weatherstrip sealer and apply liberally between the two and press them together. Let dry. If it mashed properly, it ought to seal that problem. Enough water can come in that way to drown occupants, but it took me nearly 10 years to find it!

I had a gap between the t-top frame and the windshield frame. Filled it with good-quality silicone. Now it's dry inside (but goodness knows how badly rusted my windshield frame is...)
