Hey...it's sorta Technical/Performance...it helps us work on this stuff!!
I recently moved from Utah back to TX. Fortunately the new place had a shop already...so I've been working on establishing the new "Batcave/Skunkworks" (as it's affectionately known). Floor got epoxy coating and Saturday some good friends helped me assemble the new lift. Over the last few times I've moved...folks wanted to keep my old lift...so since it's easier to buy a new one than pack up the old one and move it (plus I made a few $$$ on them!)..I just waited until I got settled and picked up a new 4 post Direct Lift Pro Park 9 Plus that's big enough to handle the 4x4 four door pickup too. This will be the 4th Direct Lift I've bought and I've been happy with all of them.
Also, I made sure we had a comfortable bench racing/beverage area so we could sit and stare at the work if it seemed like the best thing to do!
Thanks guys. Lots of "repurposed" stuff in there. That little table was what we ate around when I was a kid (5 total folks). A friend of my Dad's made it in the late 50's and it's one heavy son of a gun!
The tan bench in the background was my Uncle's workbench when he was a jeweler in the early 50's. Wnen he passed away he wanted me to have it along with all the neat little tools. Makes a cool *beverage area*....he would be proud! Also if you look on the wall above the toolbox you'll see an old light off a ship. He was in the Navy and worked ships and barges for years. He converted it to 110v and it hung in their home until it was destroyed by storms after he passed away. I salvaged the light from the rubble.
The gray spoke mag wheels on the floor are from my sister's '67 Mustang. They will go on the wall to hang air hoses again.
In the far corner are some square hewn logs out of the old family home in Georgia (1790's). Axe marks and square peg holes. They'll become a sitting bench soon!
Can't help it...I'm a sentimental dude. I like old stuff!

Jim,
I've still got the 'porcupine' block in my garage if you want it for a stool, coffee table or something else. Thinking about it....I do need a stand for my drill press...hmmmmm.
