Tail light keeps blowing..........
Hey all,
My passenger side tail light keeps burning out. I've replaced it three times in the last six months. All the other lamps on the car are running strong. Is this a ground or fuse issue? Any advice would be great!

I'd bet it's the wiring leading to that particular side. The fuse should be blowing both tail lights and the parking lights if it's bad. The wire will be either brown or green (unless Bubba was there first:cuss ). There's also a black rear body ground wire as well that could be suspect.
Have someone look to see if it blows when you brake and engage the turn signal at the same time... Could be that the bulb is not in quite right- if your socket is worn the bulb might be hitting the wrong contacts (bulb in wrong)and that could be the culprit.
I'd also check the bulb socket for rust and buildup that might be shorting out the connection- that happened to me on a couple of bulbs that just sat for too long and rusted.

ps If there's a new way, I'll be the first in line. Maybe it'll work this time...
