Default 69 vet running issues sorted

Well thank you to all that have helped me along, there were times i was going to give up.

1 more thing that has me stumped, i have read a heap of threads re:
Pentroinx coil hook up,

i have installed a Pentroinx coil and a flame thrower 2 coil,
there are 2 wires Yellow and white that are joined (cloth) and a red from the distributor to the + side of the coil,
Q: i disconnected the yellow and white and left the red from the distributor, and hooked up a IGN from the fuse block to the +coil.

is this correct?????
thank guys

Yes it is correct. The ballast is built in the cloth wire on a 69 so you can either cap it off somehow as it is live with the key on or just connect it back onto the positive on the coil along with your direct wire from the IGN source on the fuse block. You will want to keep those wires so it can be returned to a points system if desired and running it in parallel with your direct wire will cause you no problems. My 69 BB is done like that.
Just wondering if you tested the stock cloth wire and if so, what kind of voltage did you get?
