Remember that filthy nasty transmission?
I'm amazed at how well it cleaned up! I scraped a couple of pounds of grime, grease and rocks off the tranny. I heaved into the back of my pickup, (how heavy is a TH400 anyway?) and drove to a car wash. The owner of the carwash was having a total $h!t fit because a couple of cowboys washed out a cattle trailer in one of his stalls! So he was too busy to complain about my greasy tranny and crossmember.
I squirted it all down with Castrol Purple degreaser and let it sit for a few minutes, they I hit it with the high pressure soap. 99% of the grime was gone in 5 minutes.

That Castrol degreaser certainly works!

Surprise, surprise, there was metal under that grime! I'm certainly amazed. Stuff like that is always fun.

I did the same thing with my 4 speed. It turned out amazingly clean. looks almost new again. Especially compared to what it was before cleaning.

Yes, but that grease was likely holding the tranny together! Now it's gonna fall apart. Hurry up and rebuild that 200-4r!!! :smash:
