I'm putting in a new interior going with red this time the problem I'm having is the rear carpet that goes over the wheel wells it doesn't even come close to fitting any idea's what to do?The carpet is from corvette america.I'm also replacing all of the gauges with auto meter pro comps.
can't wait to get this done.
74droptop-I replaced my carpet with MId Amereica stuff. it seemed to fit ok. I like your wheels. What brand are they? I also went with Auto Meter gauges for my speedo and tach. I love them.

Are you going to do a two-tone interior?
Everytime I see your car, I can't stop drooling. The silver paint, the wheels/tires, and the stance of your car, it just all flows together so well. Look @ the sketch in my signature . . . very similar to your car. Remove some trim, add flares, add sidepipes and blend in the nose and rear and that's what I've drawn.
I have thought about a two tone silver red combo tell me what this might look like to you, the lower part of the center console in silver from the stich down top part in red.The dash upper and lower in red the area around the wood grain in the doors from the stich inward silver the outside in red.Red carpets and seats.I wish I could buy at resonable two tone seats have the center section in silver and the outside in red,but at 289.00 for seat covers now the price would be out of reach for me in two tone.I almost recently went with side pipes but decided to redo the interior instead, thanks for the compliments.
well i went in the garage to double check some things with the carpet, now it seems like the the piece that covers the floor in the rear then goes up to the top is too short can anyone tell me if a coupe is shorter with this piece,if so then i think they boxed the wrong pieces for the rear??
I had a very similar problem when I installed carpet in my 72. The darn wheel wells are a b*tch to get to lay down. To this day mine still look a little funky even after heating them and even trying an iron to get them to lay down. I think in my case it was the insulation on the backside of the carpet that was the problem. It was just too thick to get it to lay down. I'm not pleased with Corvette America's carpet and was even thinking of replacing it with carpeting from a different vendor. Trouble is most people say that Corvette America makes all the carpeting regardless of the vendor you purchase from.

Oof, I had considered ordering the C.A. carpet kit. I guess I'll find somewhere else now! I've been told that Romeo makes all their own stuff. http://www.romeoengineering.com/
This may or may not apply in your case, but I am installing an ACC set and found the rear carpet for the left side had the felt all bunched up. I don't know how it happend, had to be in the assembly or storage, but it did not look at all like the right side. I separated the felt and reglued it and it seems to sit an fit much better.
