another hydroboost thread
So I'm about to buy the parts for my hydroboost conversion and I was wondering if my parts list was inline with what I needed. I'm not sure what I needed as far as lines for the power steering pump.
Parts list:
A1 Cardone hydroboost 52-7331
260-8556-BK - Wilwood Aluminum Tandem Master Cylinder
Wilwood portioning valve
Cardone power steering pump 20-6086F ( that's a replacement for the stock pump, should I get a different one? My current one could be replaced)
Now I know I need lines, I'm not sure which ones or which fittings I'll need. My other questions is what is the best way to drill into the power steering tank? How do I attach the line into it? What am I missing?
Thanks again, there is such a great pool of info on this forum.

The low pressure return from the hydroboost unit plumbs into a T piece that fits into the hose from the power steering return. There is no need to drill into the tank.

Do I need to buy a T section for this?

Since I have had a Serp drive from '88-91 vette on my car for some 10 years, the rack steering was first, and so no changes, don't forget the C4 had frame mounted pump tank, NOT on the pump itself...I suspect that does make a difference from what I read here.... at any rate the T is use is standard plumbing/hose clamp return.....the adapting of the rack lines to the pump was done with standard 3/8-3/8 compression plumbing fittings been there for years.....

Google Aeroquip assembly instructions and you'll have a walk through on how to do it. I used a pneumatic cut-off tool with tape on the lines for a clean cut.
The return line is just the rubber power steering compatible hose. The rack return (higher flow volume) goes straight through the inline T and the hydroboost return (lower flow volume) goes into the right angle fitting of the T to return back to the power steering pump.

Make your own end cuts.

Well, I wanna say thanks to the help I've gotten so far. However, I've managed to get into another snag. I bought a cardone 52-7333 hydroboost unite, but It didn't come with the mounting bracket. Anyone know where I might be able to pick up a stock one? The local junkyard won't sell it individually, so I'm trying to find one online that's not some custom cnc milled bracket
