78 Steering column in earlier c3
forgive me if this has been covered many times before. I searched the tech forum and didn't see this...
I have a 78 t/t column that I would like to put in one of my other c3's..
specifically a 68 conv or 69 conv.
Is accomplishing installing this 78 column into a 68-72 readily doable?

I put one in my 75, it's pretty much a direct bolt-up. It is a great improvement over what was in it.
Do a search for "Jim Shea" he has written a paper on this swap. It's about 7" from bottom of steering wheel to seat plus the column is about 3" shorter. Makes getting in and out much eaiser. I didn't use the headlight dimmer switch nor the cruise control.

Thanks, i looked thru Jim Shea's post and documents, just didn't see
anything specific about a "newer i.e. 1978 " corvette t/t in an "older" C3...
it does look like it would be tougher to put it in the 68..so may I should focus on the 69...
