This was the first year since 1987 that we didn't make the trip :cry
How was the weather? Was it as big as in previous years?

Great time. I was in the evolution display and had to leave the car on the grounds for the weekend, no problems. Rain Thurs. and Fri night but clear thru the day. Lots of good deals and lots of high prices, buyer beware! Sunday was the best weather day, I like the sun, but as I said all the days were OK. I will be there next year!

AWESOME WEEKEND. Pulled in on Friday afternoon and left Sunday afternoon. Weather was pretty cooperative; rain hit on Saturday early evening; humid on Friday & Saturday; but real nice on Sunday.

Man, they wanted some pretty pennies for wrecked and rebuilder C2's, with or without drivetrains (like upper teens), and then you could go around the corner and see various cars, real good drivers, for mid 20's. They had some pretty high prices in the Car Corral on various cars, but the auction was telling what people were willing to buy. I only hit the auction on Friday night for 40 or 45 cars, and most didn't hit the reserves. However, there was a nice looking (at least from my view) '62 that went with a "no reserve" for 24k or so. I don't know how the auction went on Saturday. Maybe Mecum's website will give us an idea.

Nice show. So many cars and parts, I don't think I could do it every year (reads: "So many honey-do's to complete to go, I don't think my wife will let me go every year.")

Friday was overcast... I loved it. Not to many people on Friday. Saturday was packed. Cars and people everywhere. Sunday was real nice. Cool breeze, sun went in and out. Saturday night parade was cool. Not many C5 guys lighting them up... but the C2 and C3 guys were paving the road with tire rubber YEAHHHHH. I have about 2 1/2 hours on digital tapes. Will try to get them into mpegs and post!

I also noticed prices through the roof. A fully wreck C3 with frame damage was going for $11K yeah... ELEVEN THOUSAND!
