Default Xenon Headlight upgrade?

Regarding Xenon upgrades for a 1980, I was hoping to get some feedback on the Speed Direct unit.

If used, any installation issues? was it worth the upgrade? Better quality kits out there specific to a C3?

Well, there is a discount and I am tired of being harassed at Xmas time for suggestions, so...
HID vs Xenon? For a kit with the harness/bulbs for a C3, equal price, which is better?

That depends on you, HID was perfect for me on my bike. I also don't like over paying for something just because its designed for a corvette unless I have to. For my money and may even help at Xmas get the glass lights like this
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-halos-2.html

then a decent set of HIDs the price is cheap and the family is happy because it looks like you are getting a lot of gifts.

Try aviation / marine bulbs for highbeams. 200,000 candle power. Turns night into day.

You know, I've never thought the stock headlights in my 1980 C3 weren't bright enough... Hell the bulbs are so old I'm not even sure they are Halogen. I hear people all the time complaining that their headlights are too dim... Do they just have poor night vision or what? On the flip side... Ford trucks... bejeepers their lights are F-ing bright... Way brighter than most other vehicles on the road. Damn Ford owners must all be afraid of the dark or something.

The advertised price for the kit is more expensive than the total of the three components listed below.

Happy with my kit. The brightness is as good as any modern car and no more strain on the headlight switch. I'm sure you can source all the components for less, but it's plug & play and it has a decent harness.

Thanks for posting the video. Just to make sure, this is the speeddirect kit?
I checked online last night, but I couldn't find anything that was as nice.
