Horn suddenly stopped working. However when pressing on the horn it does make a clicking noise so there is contact.
Where is the horn located and does that sound like a horn problem or a wiring problem?
With all the other repairs/work I'm doing on this car I have had very little time to do a step by step diagnosis on things like this. Thanks
The clicking sound you are hearing is probably the horn relay and its possible the "out" contacts are corroded enough to prevent current flow. The horns are located right under the rear of the "nose" of the car just foreword of the two headlight actuators.
Still not putting the year of the car in your questions. Jumper 12v to the green horn wire MOMENTARILY. If the horn blows, you probably have a bad relay. More likely the horn has "frozen" up and won't blow when you put 12v on it. Another possibility, the horn is grounded by the mounting screw, it may be loose or corroded.
I had exact same problem and it was the contacts in the horn relay which were bad, a good clean and horn now works fine, probably didn't help that the cover was missing from the horn relay.
