My 70 corvette just came out of restoration and runs bad. Found out that the only way it runes is to switch pink and gray wire in amplifier box. If you connect them in factory positions it won't start. Wiring seams to be hooked up correctly. Tried new amplifier box. Made no change. Has proper to coil. Help

Check the wiring from the distributor, there are two wires, one is all white, and the other is white with a green tracer.
If these are reversed, it will run poorly as you stated.
Here is a wiring diagram.

Thanks I used the diagram that you sent and the wiring is as described. I paid special attention to the white/green wire and it is in the correct location.
Generally the TI setup either works or it doesn't. I've only had a few issues with mine in the past 40+ years. The three wire connector (harness to amplifier) needed cleaning after 30 years, contacts oxidized. I had to add a new ground wire on the amplifier. ( Amp case to frame)
I also had the pickup coil in the dist. fail a few years ago. That was a sudden failure.
The next day it worked fine. Dave Fiedler http://www.tispecialty.com/
diagnosed the probable cause.
New pickup coil, been fine ever since.
