Hey guys I have a knocking sound coming from the fan area I'm not sure if its the water pump or fan hitting the shroud or just something loose. As of now i haven't felt or seen anything loose. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I clicked on the link and it says video is private. My fan blade was hitting the shroud last week. It noise was metallic and intermittent. In my case one of the bolts holding the shroud to the rad support was missing. May want to make the vid "public" so members can see it.

It sounds like the tip of one blade is hitting the underside of the shroud. When they hit they usually hit in the 1 to 2 o'clock position so take a good look at how close the blades are to the shroud in that 1 to 2 o'clock area. And its usually the front of the blade tip that is touching because of the shroud's radius. If you find it is touching you can easily trim the foreword tip of each blade an equal amount. I used an ordinary washer to scribe around to mark a nice radius on my fan blades and took care of my fan-hitting-shroud problem.

Thanks toobroketoretire I actually trimmed the blades and no luck.. still makes the noise.
Take the belts off then try it, while they're off you might want to get rid of that flex fan, lots of horror stories about them flinging blades through the hood!
