Default MY LEFT ARM HURTS

Just got the 80 running again after about 4 years .I have been driving local with it but this weekend .I took the big challenge.I live about 2 hours from carlisle so I fueled up and said why not.Well the road their is called I 78 .I Started out running about 65 mph. And the next thing you know I am getting past by all kinds of vettes their waving at me I am waving back. But I still dont jump on the train . Still not shore or the car kind of babying it Well after about a hour of waving to every type of vette .I jumped behind the next train of vettes that goes past YEA BUDDY .Now I am running 75 just to get in line So I catch up and now were runing 80 I was behind a 61 vette That little thing was cruising I went to the show spent all my cash in about 4 hours 1000.00 bucks for parts got me most of the stuff that I needed.then met a old girl freind that said lets go party. So why not .Long story short drove over 750 miles total this weekend This was a corvette weekend I will Never forget .I am almost afraid to say this but the car really got me thinking it might ready to go to one of them long haul KY trips But this weekend is the vette race at E Town And I am a old drag racer at heart. poopie this thing might run a 14 sec .Should I get the nerve to run it .I am a litte worryed that that motor mounts wont last if I jamb it
Thanks to all of you for tips with out you it would be still sitting and I would be dreamimg

Walt
Again thats to all you guys this would not have happened with out you help

When you're cruising, shift arms! That's how I keep my left arm from dying. :)

I know how ya feel though, drove my vette 600 miles last week to visit a friend's cabin and go boating. I was surprised mine did as well as it did!

The forum is definitely good for the soul and bad for the wallet. :)

Congratulations!

I know the feeling. I had to chuckle when I saw your sig, my car's nickname is Murphy. Named for the law it seems to follow.

Glad to hear you're on the road. It's cruises like that that allow us to begin to trust our cars and once the trust is there we can have fun. :reddevil

Just two months ago I wouldn't have driven on any important trips with the vette. I was even concerned taking it to work. Now.... No troubles.

When I opened this post I thought it was going to say that your arm was sore from too much wrenching, which happens to mee all the time and I'll be tearing my motor apart again this weekend.
Glad your drivnig and good luck getting down into the 14s
