Default 1980 rear suspension

im getting ready to install a LS engine and tremec 5 speed in my car. i am planning to rebuild the rear suspension at the same time Any opinions about changing the suspension parts to manual since my car is currently an automatic

As far as I know all of the suspension parts are the same whether they're for an automatic or a manual transmission. Let us know how your LS swap goes and take a LOT of pictures.

It was my understanding that the ujoints were smaller on the autos

Yes, stub axles, u-joints, half shafts and spindle flanges are different on a '80. I would recommend you go with the manual tranny setup (1350 u-joints).

If you are in NO hurry I will have almost new ( 1000 mi ) 3" w/1350 joints half shafts coming off my car as well as newer trailing arms and an auburn pro posi unit and the 1350 yokes and stub axles which you need for the bigger joints. a composite spring and 8 inch bolts a clean painted bat wing sway bar ect ect ect

I will sell for a vry good price as I am going to a 4 link .

that is a good offer.... I just rebuilt my rear end from the clutch back. This sounds easier...
