I want the best! None of that power steering pully rubbing, and fan hitting shroud  . Are energy suspension's any good? They have the trans/motor kit for about $50..
I have red Energy Suspension poly mounts, no problems with them at all and they hold up much better than rubber ones to fluids. You can also get them with gold anodizing or chrome metal. Energy Suspensions does not sell direct to the public, you have to get them from a reseller.
I have used Energy Suspenion on my street rod with great results. You'll like them, great quality.
The best part is they are locking mounts, so it the poly does fail the two metal parts of the mount will keep the engine from torquing over causing you fan to hit the shroud (unless you have a very small clearance).
I have the red poly ones with the gold anadized metal.....looks

Got all three (2 x engine + tranny mount). Work great. With the Tremec, I have about 1/4" clearance between the tunnel and the U-joint on the tranny yoke due to the longer transmission length. No evidence of hitting so far so I am assuming the mounts are doing a good job of controlling movement.
Only issue I had was that the tranny mount is thicker than stock. I left out the spacer plate in order to gain a little clearance per some advice from my tranny guy (Mike Forte).
Where did you see the Trans-Motor kit? All I have ever seen was the mounts sold separately for about $30 ea for motor mounts and $20 for transmission mounts. I'm in the market for all three.
You were probably looking at prothane, not energy suspension, they're cheaper but not worse in any way. I have installed a couple of prothane poly kits and was very happy with the quality
Anyone have any problems with headers and poly mounts? I have to replace the mounts and was thinking of the poly since the rubber drivers side split in 2- luckly this were GM mounts with the locking tabs. I think it was broke for well over a year in not more, but the fan never hit the shroud.

Here's what I think you should get. It will save you $70 and you will never break them:
It's a 1/4" think steel plate from Moroso, they also have them in chrome.
Especially since an incident on my first run Saturday. Driver side engine mount broke on launch. Took out the shroud, the fan and the clutch and popped open the hood when the alternator bracket hit it and put a star crack in it. (And still tore off a 1.775 60-foot time and a 12.48 @ 110. :yesnod: )
No more screwing around--solid mounts and dual electric fans in front of the radiator for me.
Energy Suspension Poly motor and trans mounts here too :yesnod:
Under heavy torque conditions...that motor sits still!!! You won't be dissapointed..
