Congrats on the purchase. I have had mine for over 10 years and can't imagine life without it! I have made over 1500 runs on my cars. Of that I have 550 runs on my Tri-Power motor alone. It is an incredible learning tool. You will really enjoy it!

I remember you picked up 50 or 70 RWHP on a small block. Must be nice to see the tuning direction you are going is the right or wrong way without putting it through the stresses of 1/4mile drag strip.

Don't really want to hijack this thread but I will say that I have 205 runs on the 383 in my red convertible. Being able to test things like E3 spark plugs, depth of plenum divider in a dual plane intake, effect of clutch fan, different mufflers, etc., etc., are invaluable. Heck, I even have 165 runs on my 1990 Callaway - and the car has only 1800 miles on it! To say that I am addicted to this DynoJet is an understatement!

How tall is that? DynoJet specs say the pit is 1'11" (http://www.powercommander.com/downlo..._v98219103.pdf) as long as I am reading that right, but that looks really tall for a basically 2 foot tall hole.

Oooowww! Sorry to hear that. You do realize that you and you son both have a degree in an inferior profession. Mechanical Engineering would have been the right path to take. You probably weren't smart enough to get that degree

So sorry brother... do hope you get back on your feet, you are in my prayers tonight... yes, it can be humbling...had my ACL and Meniscus replaced with a cadaver and stem cell technology to grow new cartilage in my knee.. 2 years till total recovery, this was done after a dirt bike race and ridding a wheelie, back wheel washed out... I'm riding and racing again!! RM250... also snapped the fibula and tabula, 4 screws and a plate on one bone and a pin up the other.. Full contact ice hockey, down for 1 year till full recovery,, still play:-) and then numerous injuries with 6 years grappling and 5 more years okanwa ta karate.. just like extreme sports..adrenaline junkie i think,...Anyway, what I'm saying.. push yourself, never ever give up, when you give up,, that is when you get old.. I want to die on the track.. dirt, road, rink... just not fade away.. To fade away is a fear of mine..
