cutting edge is forever changing because it is at the front of whatever topic it is being used to talk about. IE ten years ago when the Scwhartz (sp?) bros. starting designing bolt in frames to muscle cars there was no one else doing it therefore they were at the front(cutting edge) of what is now the trend. (disclaimer I don't know who was first, they were named in the article i read earlier about G body frames so they got used).
This is what I think when I see these phrases
Phase 1 = sales packaging term used to sell stuff to people who don't understand details of how to improve something. (aka performance street)
Phase 2 = better parts or additional parts for Phase 1 (aka street and strip/weekend warrior)
Phase 3 = kit used to escalate street car to armature track car (meaning stock frame suspension design not tube chassis custom built race car)
World class is probably meant to be mean it is a premium product but it as everything is so over used it doesn't mean **** when a salesman says it.
