The seats are a good fit in our C3's. If you leave the C5 mounting brackets on they will bolt on but sit about 2" higher than stock seats. Swapping the C5 mounting brackets for the C3 ones just requires drilling new holes. I have done mine both ways but since having the seats sit higher is better for my wife's back after 2 spinal fusions I am using the C5 brackets bolted to the position that fits me best. The only time it is a bit of inconvenience is at stoplights when I either look over the top of the windshield or tilt down a bit to look through it. I'm 6' 1/2" so if under 6' the upper windshield support shouldn't block your view of the stoplights.

The C5 seats I have are fully power, I haven't tried it but it sure seems like it would be too high. I'll try it out in the morning.
This is my wife's C3, she is short and needs one pillow under her butt and another behind her back with stock seats. So having the adjustable seat would make her happy and when she is happy, I get to spend more without any conflicts.
I mounted the original seat tracks to the C5 seats (new holes drilled into the bottom of the C5 seats) with a 1/2" thick spacer. The seats are about 1" higher than the original seats and they still move forward and backward.

I had to bolt mine directly to the floor - no front-back movement. They are MUCH better than the stock '70 seats. I tried using the C3 brackets but still too high.
I ended up mounting it using the C3 tracks. Seat works great, I have fwd and aft movement as well as back retraction. Both my wife and I can seat in it comfortably.
My wife can't reach the pedals - from the passenger seat! She won't drive it and I'm OK with that.
There was a time my wife wouldn't even get inside one but today she has her own and drives it at least once a week. My wife is short so, I had to make sure the seat move fwd. I got new seats for my C5 and coil overs, she got my old seats. Fair, I say!
That's crazy, Billet? Looks like a few pieces of aluminum welded together then grounded down. I just did what most said they've done. Drilled new holes on the seat base so the spacing would be 15.5, the tracks lined up perfectly with the original holes on the floor. Cost 1/2 hour of labor and 0 dollars. No fabrication!
Swapping the C5 mounting brackets for the C3 ones just requires drilling new holes.
Sorry for the stupid question....
Can you clarify this one for me? Would I remove the C3 brackets from my seats and add them to the C5's seats? Just need to drill new holes? then they would install to the rails on my C3 floor?

Thanks.... Not a big fan on my C3 seats....
Yes, And may need a couple washers between the seat bracket and C-3 rail.
