OK...How pathetic is this?
I yanked my seats out a week ago... and delivered them to the upholstery guy who is working like heck to find time to get them recovered. He says he'll definitely have them ready by Tuesday. Fine. Tonight... I'm building a seat out of plywood just so I can use my Vette over the holiday weekend. I just can't stand to see this car sitting in the garage! I'm going to stuff a pillow on it and go for a cruise tomorrow... wish me luck! :lol:

What...on a weekend like this, i would too. When I was putting the heat/ sound stuff in my interior, I ran up to the parts store with my daughter's bean bag with the dogs bed on top as a seat. Comfy..but a little awkward. My wife just shook her head when I came back.

Good Job!!! :cheers: It's been really crappy here lately as far as the weather goes. Glad to see someone enjoyin it and be carefull with the home made seats . I've been down that road too. :lol: :lol:

You know, the scary thought here is there are some (like mine) who would probably enjoy doing this, especially if they can inflict a lot of un-nessasary
pain in the process, like having to dig around with sharp objects and the like.

Watch out for splinters on those quick takeoffs. Hey they probably will give you good lumbar support though.

If this guy is going to take too long getting yur real vette seats back to you, I suggest maybe taking out a protection policy with a pest controll company to keep yur newly fabrcated seats free of termites. :lol:
