I am not sure what other complications arise during the swap. I have been considering installing a crate engine into my 1978 for several years, but I also want to install a tremec 5 speed ( which is longer ) , so I am still going through everything in my head before I spend close to $10 grand on it
Yes it will take 5 out of the 6 bolts a Chevy pattern uses but, you need an adapter to get the torque converter to correctly pilot into the crankshaft. Check with Scoggin Dickey Chevy or Pace Performance for details.
