I like my vette so much and loved to cruise around in it. I am going to set it up with a 383 and try it with this roller cam I have. I think the cam is a bit much for my 350 for just cruising a round but might be better with the 383 and FI. But after one night at the track I have a need for speed! So a second hot rod is in order. I am open for suggestions. I love late 60's and early 70's cars so it will be probably be on of those. 67 Camaro, 68-72 Chevelle and 68-72 Cutlass are on the top of the list. Unless I find a Cutlass with most of the go fast goodies already in it, it might be out since parts are much higher $ than chevy stuff. Give me your suggestions.
Thanks
BTW I am going to post some of my thoughts on my retro roller cam set up in the near future.
Love the 70-72 Cutlass body style. I had a 71 coupe(not fastback) with tweaked 455, TH400, 373 posi. Man I miss that car. Even though I almost killed myself in it several times. Needed $ so bad at the time I sold it off for way less than I had in it. Shame. Wanna get another one day.
A buddy in high school had a 72 fast back 350 rocket and I just loved that car. I am leaning towards a 67 Camaro/Firebird or 72 cutlass. 'Tweeked 455' would be sweet. :yesnod: Thing is I want a dual purpose car: road racing courses and drag strip on occassion so I think the Camaro/Firebird would be a better choice. Figure I can set it up for road racing and slap some NOS on for strip runs. :) Hoping I can get our company owner to 'sponsor' me, would be nice to get some start up costs.
i was talking to my brother tonight..there is a 72 vette 454 4speed...somewhere around 58000 miles on it....needs interior...guy wants 15000..thats what, 8000us???
