Hoping someone else out there has run into this. I wanted to replace original mc this winter with a chrome one. Should be an easy process right? Pulled off the old one and put the new one on. Tried to bleed system and it seems like the piston on the new mc is too deep and the push rod wont even make contact to activate. Anybody else had this happen? What'd you do to fix?
Hi,
The old power-brake vs non-power brake MC issue. One has a deeper hole and requires the longer pedal push-rod. Get the longer push-rod or the correct MC. FYI - stock power brake MC had a bigger piston (1 1/8in bore vs 1in for the non-power MC).
