Default Exhaust baffles...

I have Hooker stainless headers and 4 inch side pipes with sweet thunder inserts. I am looking for an insert or baffle that is a lot quieter. 1976 vette..406ci 13.5-1 comp 475 hp. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Carl

I think Summit has different baffles to install in the Hooker side pipes. When I bought mine, if memory serves me correctly there are 3 to choose from. Mine are pretty loud too, I purchased the least restrictive baffle.

you realize Sweet Thunder makes different size baffles for the 4" pipe. What size do you have now?

I've got the 2 inch now....I wonder how much difference it would make by going to 1 3/4 inch.

Ear plugs would be cheaper and no loss in performance!

I had 2 1/2" sweet thunders in mine for awhile, I loved it running around town, but it was pure hell on the highway with the windows up. I think I've got max-flows now, much better.

I have the STS spiral baffles. I don't know how they compare to the other but they are not too loud for me.

I run Hooker max flows.

But you may want to ask these guys about their "VettePack" inserts.

I have some Hooker Glass Pack inserts with less than 20 miles on them I'm willing to part with. A little quite for my taste. PM me if interested.
