I estimate I have about a 3:50 rear gear by turning the rear wheel and counting drive shaft revolutions. I also have headers, and an Edelbrock carb and intake, which I guess may have added 50 H.P., or is that wishfull thinking?

Yep, its wishful thinking, you will need to get into the heads & or cam for a +50hp

So, when my 454 gets over 90 MPH (which I get to REAL quick) it gets very scary. Also, running generic sidepipes makes it sound like its going to blow up at those RPM's.
Regardless of any engine/transmission combo you may have, the bottom line is the C3 doesn't have nearly the aerodynamics that the C6/C7 cars have, your car is going to feel light at 100mph and get worse as you increase speed, be careful out there

Some time ago there was an extensive thread on C3 Aeros. The consensus was a fastback C3 w/PC aeros and a little cleaning up should do 160mph w/300 rwhp. That fit w/200mph requiring 600 rwhp.
Anything over 125 requires areos and rwhp!
