Cutting out slots in new console unit
Bought a shifter console top plate at the Carlisle show last weekend. It was hard to find one for my 77 but finally setted on an aftermarket one. The Power Window, Defrost slots were not cut out but had indent slots on the back side. My question is - what is the best way to cut these out. I don't want to break it tryingto cut them out.
Thanks, Bob

Followed the lines under the console to cut out the rough openings
using a cutting wheel on a Dremel tool. Then finished by using a
flat file to remove the material up to the lines. Worked fine for
the power window and rear defroster switches.

Thanks, Thought I need to buy a tool, cool. Thanks for the postings, I figured I'd need to go in underneath. Keep the fingers crossed, or I'll be buying a precut.
Thanks, bob
