Well today we finally got our first Corvette. It's a 1977 L-82 4spd and a black beauty. The hubby has wanted one now for 20 years and the kids finally got old enough to enjoy a ride by ourselves.
Does anyone here know where we might pick up a 77 owners manual? I checked E-bay, and as of now, there wasn't one. And if you have any advice for us new owners, pass it along.
By the way, we bought the car from a Forum member- Thanks Sean!
Welcome!!!!!!
post pics soon. we like pics! :yesnod: Zip products offers owners manuals. they also have tons of parts. i also believe the offer a CF discount. hopefully someone will confirm this. their catalouge is free. you can order one at their website. think they have a link from here somewhere!
Owner manuals are carried by all the venders. (might check one of the ebay people that are selling alot of them for 8.95, email and see it they have one) While you're at it, you might as well get an assembly manual, to see how the car was put together. Buy it now or buy it later, you will want one.
Most of the catalog companies (accessible through links here) do indeed sell Owner's Manuals.
And I agree, if you're going to do any work yourselves, the Assembly Manual (commonly referred to as the AIM) is a must. Many also recommend the Service Manual.
You may also want to call Chevy (800-222-1020) and get a FREE specifications booklet. It's got a lot of very good information in it.
Congradulations on your purchase...and welcome
You can geet most anything through any of the major corvetteee dealers..Zip,Ecklers,Mid-America,Dr. Rebuild and so on. Most of them have web sites and offer free catalogs...Owner manual goes for about $10.00 I believe
Ask away on any questions you may have and someone will give insight to it
Once again, Welcome

Welcome!
I'm new too, just got mine a few weeks ago. I've never seen such enthusiastic support as here in CF. I've always secretly admired them and all this help confirms that I made the right decision in buying one.
What a nice welcome to a great place! We are really looking foward to getting into having such great car and place where no one will get tired of us asking questions, or talking about the Vette. :D
We've already started with what's been given to us for ideas and suggestions. I know I appreciate the help, I'll admit, I am clueless to some of this, but Iam a good student.

Congrats. I made a big mistake when I bought my 79. I didn't join the forum until I had almost finished painting mine. I just went to tech tips but didn' t put my .o2 worth in. Now I just come home log on and love it. :yesnod:
