Discovered yesterday that the radio will not work in the Acessory position. PO probably miss wired it. Which wire at the steering column connector supplies power in the ACC position. Did a search but didn't come up with an answer.
if the radio works in the run position it is wired correctly. if it then doesn't run in the accessory position the switch on top of the column under the dash needs to be adjusted.
The ignition switch is attached to the top of the column (just above the toe of your foot) with 3 small sheet metal screws. Here you can see that the holes are slotted to allow the switch to be synchronized with the key position.
It is not uncommon for the screws to get a little loose over time and allow the switch to move out of the sync'd position and cause the problem you're having.
I believe that the screw heads are 1/4". A small ratchet and socket or box wrench is all you need to adjust it.
Took a couple tries to find the right position but got it fixed. Had to loosen the bolts and drop the steering column a little. No room for a socket, wrench only. On mine it was 5/16.
