Default Electrical help for accessory's

In my 75 i am running a Gps, and radar detector and a dash cam.

Have relocated the E-sig lighter and use a 1 to 3 adapter for the power.

As with most new cars when the key is off it kills power to the lighter/usb ports, at least it does on the wife's new Rave 4.

Suggestions? Where can i hook it up so no power when key is off?

You'll need to disconnect the current power supply wire to the lighter, and terminate it propwrly--remmeber, this wire is ALWAYS live, so safety is key to prevent any inadvertent shorts or power flow.......
Run a new (appropriate gauge) supply wire from the "IGN" spade on your fuse box...This is a full 12Volts, and only supplies power when the key is in the "on" position.

Or, you can just unplug the three power adapter each time...

Was just out in the garage with the meter checking stuff. I must be getting old, as i already have used the IGN spade for a different project in the past.

Thanks for the reminder

The stuff you are running is not pulling that much power-

That being said- you could just add a relay switched w/ your ignition and pull from a constant hot source -like the cigarette lighter wire.

Or you can go to the ignition switch- here it's mapped out for you- pretty sure the wire colors didn't change till 78- used my 71 as a reference.
